Costume jewellery was part of Christian Dior’s couture vision from his first collection in 1947. Working with specialist jewellery makers, the house used ornament and sparkle to complete a silhouette, treating the finishing detail as part of the outfit itself. Here, the signature becomes part of the silhouette itself, with suspended letters giving a familiar name a new sense of movement.
