VINTAGE NOTE

Gianni Versace repeatedly drew on classical antiquity, making Medusa one of the house’s most recognisable images. Gold Medusa buttons appeared throughout his Autumn/Winter 1992–93 collection, showing how a small emblem could bring a powerful decorative identity to clothing and accessories. Here, the emblem is worked tonally into the front band, making the signature a detail to discover as the light changes.
